Doubled Die 1958 Obverse Lincoln Penny
These doubled die coins are the result of an error occurring in the production process at the Mint. Part of the image present on these coins appears to be doubled. This particular penny has a strong doubling that can be found on the wording on the face.
1944-S Steel Lincoln Penny
All Lincoln pennies were meant to be minted in the original alloy in 1944. This bronze alloy consists of five percent tin and 95 percent copper. However, the zinc-coated steel planchets that were used in 1943, ended up pressing these coins.
