1943 Bronze Lincoln Penny
Just like the 1943-D Bronze Lincoln penny, this coin was also mistakenly minted in bronze. There was a variety of bronze coins that were produced at this Mint. However, this is the only penny that is certified as a ‘red’ penny of the year 1943.
1943-D Bronze Lincoln Penny
This coin’s rarity is extreme as there is only one known example of a 1943-D Lincoln penny, which has been struck in bronze alloy rather than zinc-plated steel. Although there is only one example of this type of penny, there’s believed to be approximately 20 examples.
