Hedy Lamarr was an actress and inventor who in addition to appearing in many films throughout the 1930’s and 50’s also is credited for her work with George Antheil to develop technology that helped the Allie torpedoes. The principles of their work also helped modern day technology like GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
