Greg is quite proud of his son. He said: “He’s a very driven kid for his age. There were times the project got stalled out and he had to earn more money for the next phase. He wouldn’t let it go and kept working at it.”

In order to save money and make the most of the amount he was able to save up, he also asked relatives and people in the community for any things they didn’t need. For example, his grandma gave him leftover siding and his uncle’s friend gave him a front door. He shared: “I liked the minimalism. And I wanted to have a house without a huge mortgage.”
