In order to raise money for the project, Luke mowed lawns, looked for reclaimed materials, and raised money online. He also managed to barter for some help on the project. He made a big plan for the project, and while some aspects didn’t come to fruition, in the end he made it happen.

So what did he barter? Luke’s neighbor asked him to clean the garage, and in return, the neighbor helped to wire the house. He also made a deal with the local Scout leader, who helped with carpet installation in exchange for a mowed lawn.
