Marliu began modeling for local print ads as well as acting in local T.V. commercials. She started as a weather girl for Multimedios Television. Marilu would not last long with them as she would be scooped up by Milenio T.V. as their weather girl. There she would heat the T.V. screens across Monterrey, and she continues to do so today. Another Colombian beauty that is taking the weather to the next level is Carolina Ramirez. In 2010 Carolina starred in a reality show called Nuestra Belleza Latina. After starring on the show, it seemed opportunities started to open for her. Univision saw the potential with this budding star that they invited her to their network. There she was well received, and it seemed that no matter the weather- rain or shine, Carolina was on top of her weather game.
