The Call
A few minutes later, the customer who gave the tip called the restaurant to ask if the person received it. He was confused when the restaurant said it couldn’t process it. The man said he had the money in his account, so why couldn’t it be taken out? Emily should have gotten the cash!
Emily’s Request
When Emily learned that the man called, she asked her manager if she could speak to him directly and thank him. However, the manager refused, claiming he didn’t have the phone number. Emily said in an interview that she just wanted to express gratitude, even though she couldn’t get the tip.
