Stolen Superhero
In 2011, a new storage unit owner was sifting through the contents of the unit he purchased when he realized that he found the very first Superman comic, which was released in 1938. It turns out that the comic was actually stolen from Nicholas Cage’s home back in 2000.
Explosive Discovery
In 2014, a storage unit in Michigan became a no-go zone after a live hand grenade was found in it. After the whole area was evacuated, a bomb squad was sent in to dispose of the grenade in a safe way. The facility’s manager admitted that he was not surprised with this discovery, as “in the storage industry we see a lot of weird stuff.”
