Mellody Hobson is president of financial services firm Ariel Investments and has previously served as the DreamWorks Animation chair. She was also the first African American female president of the Economic Club of Chicago. She is married to hit filmmaker George Lucas who created the Star Wars and Indian Jones film franchises. Lucas on his own is worth $7 billion while Hobson is worth $2.75 million.
