Road House
One of the most iconic films that Elliot was ever a part of, was Road House. The film starred heartthrob Patrick Swayze, and required Elliot to audition for the role of the bad guy. Unfortunately, Elliot didn’t really connect to the role, and didn’t think he’d fit in. Luckily, the casting directors then offered him the role of Swayze’s mentor, Wade Garrett. He loved this role much more, and jumped at it. The film sold millions of copies.

Changing Up Roles
In The Big Lebowski, Elliot played alongside Jeff Bridges, and their chemistry was amazing. After that, a new movie called The Contender came along, and the writer had dreams of casting Elliot and Bridges together again. Bridges would play the President of the United States, while Elliot would play his Chief of Staff. It was a huge role change for the actor, but he smashed the role out of the park. It wasn’t his regular western movie, and it showed off his seasoned acting chops perfectly.
