In reality, Katherine was going through a bit of a rough time, and she wasn’t totally comfortable divulging information about her romances. Naturally, it can be hard to have relationships in the public eye, and Katherine didn’t seem to like it any more than the next actor. Even though she was a very friendly woman, Katherine never divulged information for a very specific reason. Elliot knew all about his partner’s past, and he didn’t blame her in the least.

Awkwardly enough, Katherine Ross had already been married in the past, and she was still dealing with that when she and Elliot got together. Everyone knew about the marriage, and it was a bit of a sore spot for the new couple. Obviously, the marraige hadn’t been going well, which meant that Katherine was still dealing with some issues and trying to find the closure she so desperately needed. Sam was always there to help her through it all.
