His role was going to be known as Card Player #2 in the credits, which suited the actor just fine. Even with a smaller role than the others, Elliot was still seen by millions of people! He knew that this could help him to kick-start his career, and he was more than happy to soak up this opportunity. The film seemed like it would be helpful to his acting career, but oddly enough, one of the movie’s actors would have a huge part in Elliot’s future outside of acting.

Katharine Ross, one of the leads in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, acted alongside Elliot and the other male actors. Sam was very aware of the actress, and he was mindful to watch her just as much as he watched the male actors on set. He was in awe of her! Unfortunately, she and Elliot didn’t have any scenes together, which meant they hardly spoke during their time on the set. They went their separate ways after the movie.
