A bit later, Sophie saw that her mom was still in bed. Though she watched TV, she was getting hungry. Why hadn’t her mom got up to make breakfast and dance? She went back into the bedroom to check on her.

Sophie slowly opened her mom’s bedroom door to ask if she was awake yet. That didn’t work, so she said she was hungry but got no response. Finally, she climbed up on the bed to shake her mom’s shoulders. Now, she was worried.
