The cops didn’t appear to be happy. They were looking around the room with shocked faces. The paramedics grabbed a stretcher, putting Hanna on it. Sophie couldn’t understand why everyone wanted to get out of that room.

Sophie and Hanna rode in the ambulance to the hospital. Though Sophie knew they would take care of her mom, she wondered why the cops seemed scared of her house. It was messy, but it wasn’t horrible.
