There were police officers on the scene who knew just what to do. One yelled to Sophie and told her they’d be with her and her mom in a few moments. She was panicking because that door was still locked. Now, she was hearing noises.

Sophie heard mumbling outside, and it seemed like people were walking on the stairs. This caused panic in her little mind, and she believed they were leaving. Finally, she cried out to them, “Don’t leave!” That wasn’t their intention at all.
