Naturally, anyone who gets close to this spillway could be in serious danger. The water surging in this area is flowing at a very fast speed, and it would be impossible to fight against it if you found yourself in the speedway. Of course, the engineers have integrated buoys and barriers, in order to discourage people from getting to close. Hopefully, for anyone who finds themselves too close, they’ll be blocked from going over the edge.

Many people have commented that although the spillway does look pretty menacing, there haven’t been any deaths connected to it. That’s because the design is meant to have a pretty tame pull, which most humans should be able to swim against. For anyone who is swimming in the area, it’s relatively easy to get away from any pull; however, it’s always suggested to avoid the area just in case. The hole is very deep, and making it to the other side of the dam could be very difficult.
