Experts researching in El Brujo, Peru discovered the reamins of a woman in 2005. They called year “the Lady of Cao” and estimated that she must have died in the year 400. Judging off the artifacts found in her grave, they believe she may have been a Moche noblewoman.

The researchers brought her remains to a museum in El Brujo. Using this, her face was recreated. Despite having a more realistic portrayal of her face, her role in her ancient society is still unclear, but they speculate that she may have been a human sacrifice and that she was in her late 20’s when she died.
