Bellatrix’s Description
In the books, the character of Bellatrix Lestrange is described as having “long, black hair” and “dark, heavy-lidded eyes,” as well as an “air of arrogance.” An embellishment that was added to the film’s portrayal of the character was her wildly disheveled hair, and along with Helena Bonham-Carter’s incredible performance, Bellatrix came to life.

How The Dursleys Were Meant To Look
For the most part, the actors who portrayed the Dursley family were spot on, with one exception. In the books, both Aunt Petunia and Dudley were actually described as blonde, with Petunia’s description reading: “thin and blonde and had twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent most of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbors,” and Dudley’s reading: “a large pink face, not much neck, small, watery blue eyes, and thick blond hair that lay smoothly on his thick, fat head.”
