A Wrinkle in Time (2018)
Even though 2018’s A Wrinkle in Time had a star-filled cast including Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Zach Galifianakis, this Ava DuVernay-directed film totally flopped. It ended up losing $131 million and critics said it was laden with “with the film’s heavy use of CGI and numerous plot holes.”

The Power Rangers franchise dominated the 1990’s, so of course in this age of reboots, studios thought that they could revive its popularity. Unfortunately, this did not work out, as it ended up losing $76 million. It didn’t help that it was released the same weekend as Guardians of the Galaxy.
