Colosseum at Night
The Roman Colosseum’s construction began in 70 AD under the ruling of Vespasian. It was finished around 80 AD. The colosseum held most of Rome’s gladiatorial shows and executions. Today it is mostly used as a tourist attraction. There is also a museum dedicated to Eros, the Greek god of love, on the upper floor of the building. This image, taken by Mauri Pagliai, captures the wondrous building in a nighttime setting, the lights shining on its outer walls add to its beauty.
Rocks on the Beach
There are many amazing beaches on the surface of the Earth in many different countries. Some are appealing to look at, while others fall prey to pollution. This beach is found in Kwinana, Western Australia, obviously named Kwinana Beach. This image is a part of a collection by Amphotoco, who regularly posts to Dronestagram, a regular yearly contest for drone enthusiasts. The image is absolutely breathtaking and makes one want to visit the country for themselves to see the beach in person.
