Tia Carrere became a prominent actress after she starred on hit soap opera General Hospital. She played the role of Jade Soong Chung for three years. She later appeared in Wayne’s World as Mike Myer’s love interest, Cassandra. This role led her to become very well known.

She also began to model, and appeared in the January 2003 Playboy issue as well as in Maxim. She has done some voice work, including on Lilo & Stitch and Duck Dodgers. She also starred in reality show competitions Dancing with the Stars and The Celebrity Apprentice. Most recently, she starred in Netflix series AJ and the Queen.
