The show will feature a look back at some of her show’s most famous and iconic episodes with commentary from some of today’s most well-known names in food entertainment. Each episode of the 6-part series will feature one of her The French Chef episodes and food personalities and chefs will share their favorite memories, moments, and other fun commentary.
It has been confirmed that two episodes of The French Chef which will be featured include “Boeuf Bourguignon” and “Your Own French Onion Soup,” in honor of two of her most famous recipes.
So who will be a part of the tribute? You can count all of these famous food personalities in: Martha Stewart, Marcus Samuelsson, Jacques Pepin, Eric Ripert, Vivian Howard, Carla Hall, Rick Bayless, and Jose Andres. Quite the impressive list!
Andrea Downing, Co-President of PBS Distribution, told Food & Wine: “Julia Child pioneered what cooking shows have become today and to get a once-in-a-lifetime look at how she inspired the master chefs of today is truly a treat.”
The show will air on PBS Passport as well as PBS Living beginning on February 28th, 2020. According to Media Player News, for those who don’t mind waiting a little bit longer, the show will also air on PBS on April 3rd until the 17th.
