Now, if you don’t have a car you’re running low on time and want to grab something in a few minutes, you’ll be able to do so at the food chain’s new walk-up window.
As the name implies, the walk-up window is the pedestrian’s answer to a drive-thru window. In addition to expanding its “Chipotlanes” drive -thru windows, the company is currently testing windows that allow pedestrians to easily pick up orders on to go.
Tabassum Zalotrawala, the brand’s Chief Development Offier shared in a statement: “While we are staying true to Chipotle’s heritage, we are also excited to integrate new, innovative physical features into the restaurant that complement our growing digital business.”
While walk-up windows are being tested at 3 different locations (the first of which was opened up on December 19th in Chicago), the company is looking to expand Chipotlanes to 60 locations by the end of the year. As we head into the depths of winter, this is great news for those who are not interested in leaving the warmth of their vehicles.
Are you excited for Chipotle’s newest improvements? We certainly are!
