What You Need
2 ripe avocados
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional toppings: fresh berries, chopped nuts, shredded coconut
What To Do
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a blender or food processor.
Add cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure everything is well mixed.
Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup or honey if desired.
Transfer the mousse to serving bowls or glasses. You can also refrigerate it for a couple of hours to chill and set further.
Before serving, garnish with your choice of fresh berries, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut for added texture and flavor.
Enjoy the chocolate avocado mousse immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 days.
Notes:
The ripe avocados should be soft to the touch, but not overly mushy.
If you prefer a sweeter mousse, feel free to adjust the amount of maple syrup or honey according to your taste preference.
For a variation, you can add a dash of cinnamon or a sprinkle of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.
